Thunderbolt 3 supports its own Thunderbolt transmission protocol as well as the USB 3.1 Type-C device because Thunderbolt 3 also adopts the USB Type-C connector.
You can therefore connect the SJM600 to a Thunderbolt 3 port.
However, the maximal transmission speed will be 10Gbps (the theoretical speed of USB 3.1).
